Sauteed bok choy with garlic sauce
Ingredient
- 6 bok choy plants
- 4 green onions cut into pieces about 5cm long
- 6 minced garlic cloves
- 1 small piece of grated ginger
- 1.5 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ cup of water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1.5 teaspoons of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Making
- Cut bok choy in half or quarters if the cabbage is large. Rinse under running water to remove remaining sand and dust
- Blanch the bok choy in salted boiling water for about 30 seconds then set aside
- Sauté garlic and ginger at medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Then add soy sauce
- Add bok choy to the above sauce mixture for about 1-2 minutes then add green onions
- Increase cooking temperature and add water
- Stir well for a few minutes then add cornstarch mixture. Be careful not to overcook the bok choy and it will lose its crispness

- Eat immediately while it's still hot
